Yup ladies and gent - I had a flat tyre!!!
And shamelessly, I admit that I'm a total blondie when it comes to tyre changing or anything related to car maintenance for that matter. I know I know as a driver I should know all these things blablabla, but the thing is - I refuse to coz I hate it. Don't ask me why ok; why can a swan fly and a chicken can't? For me, this is like one of those things - it's either you have it or you don't and I don't. I suppose it's learnable but only if there's a gun pointed to my head.
So what's a damsel in distress with a flat tyre to do?
I was already on the phone with bubzy when my tyre popped! Bubzy calmed me down and then I called my family and some friends. My bro was the appointed hero. While waiting for him to come rescue me, my dad, friends and bubzy kept me company on the phone. So there I was parked on the roadside waiting and waiting and then the urge to pee came. Greattttt!
One point to mention tho, KK town is becoming much like KL metropolitan where everybody mind their own business, always seem to rush to go somewhere and very much individualistic. Ok maybe I'm generalising but there I was in my baju kurung (ayu konon) standing on the road side talking on my cell while pointing to my flat tyre looking very much like a damsel in distress and nobody stop to help. Seriously! One car honked and flash me with his most perverted smile and drove off. I cursed the f*cker silently. The rest just looked sympathetically and drove away. If I had a flat tyre in Donggongon / Penampang area I swear I would have 3 - 5 people stopping to help. I gave up hope on waiting for a good samaritan and waited inside my car. A car stopped behind me much later but it was getting dark and I was feeling paranoid so I just stay put and the car drove off. I learned in Oprah to trust my gut feeling so yeah. To the car that stopped (forgot what car lar), thank you if your intention was to help me but if its otherwise, please repent or f*ck youself.
45 minutes later, my rescue team consist of brother Ius, his bini Ellis, Jayden and bro's bini's sister Jenny, came and my brother did his thing. Thank goodness for brothers coz they're there to do the dirty work for you hehe. After all the drama, we all went to stuff ourselves with ketam at Makanan Sedap (memang sedap). A good ending. Oh and I didn't pee in my pants ok managed to hold it till we get to the restaurant - so stress I tell you!
Btw, reason for my tayar pancit? Tayar bunga sudah licin so koyak lor! Ok ok lesson learnt. From this day onwards, I swear I will let my parent and brother keep tract of all my car maintenance schedule and assist whenever any maintenance is due. What? You didn't think I would start learning about car stuff do you???!
Come to think of it I think my car is overdue for servicing sudah ni *crap*. And I have misplaced my car service booklet *double crap*. Self note: Check if Dad is available this weekend to help sort out cae service stuff. I know I'm annoyingly hopeless - but only when it comes to car stuff ok.
My hopeless moment captured on camera!
